Manchester City face Basel in Champions League round of 16

- Swiss side Basel will host Manchester City tonight in the Champions League

- Manchester City have only lost one game this season in the competition

- Italian side Juventus will also be at home against Tottenham

The UEFA Champions League round of 16 games will kick on Tuesday night, February 13, with current Premier League leaders Manchester City facing Swiss side Basel.

Manchester City are favorites to win this tie considering the fact that the Citizens have only lost one game so far in this year's Champions League and it was against Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk.

Basel are currently second in the Swiss Super League, five points behind Young Boys and bounced back from a home defeat to Lugano with an away win at FC Thun last Saturday and will look to bring the game to visiting City at St Jakob Park.

Manchester City will miss the service of Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus, Benjamin Mendy, and Leroy Sane who are all recuperating from injury.

Tottenham who defeated Arsenal in their last game are already in Italy where they will face Italian side Juventus tonight.

Juventus have been playing with a ruthlessness that was lacking in their early-season displays and they have not lost a game since last year November.

However the Turin landlords should not have that in minds against Tottenham who comfortably topped a group containing Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund beating both.

But Juventus will want to make their fans happy in this first leg tie as many of their faithfuls are still battling with the pains of losing last year's Champions League final to Real Madrid.

Kick off time for tonight UEFA Champions League games is 8.45 pm Nigerian time.
