Manchester United on Monday night, January 15 produced astonishing performance at Old Trafford as they defeated visiting Stoke City 3-0 in a Premier League encounter.
United were impressive from the blast of the whistle till the end of the second half as Frenchman Paul Pogba provided the assists that resulted to the first two goals for the Red Devils.
The visitors had the first chance in the 4th minute when Peter Crouch was set up by Joe Allen, but he was stopped by Manchester United defender Phil Jones who cleared the ball for safety.
Manchester United then scored their first goal in the 9th minute when Paul Pogba delivered a superb pass for right full back Antonio Valencia, and he wasted no time to beat Stoke City goalie Jack Butland.
Belgian star Romelu Lukaku had a glorious chance to score the second goal for Manchester United in the 15th minute, but his effort was well saved by Butland.
Pogba delivered another superb assist in the 38th minute in which Anthony Martial scored the second goal for Manchester United.
Both sides however went into the first half break with Manchester United leading 2-0.
Anthony Martial provided a brilliant pass in the 72nd minute for Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku to score the third goal as Manchester United won the match 3-0.
United still occupy second position on the Premier League standings with 50 points after 23 games played this season.
