FT: Nigeria 0 - 0 Rwanda (CHAN 2018)

Nigeria’s Home-based Eagles coached by Salisu Yusuf were held to a goalless draw against Rwanda in the opening game of their 5th African Nations Championship (CHAN) campaign in Tangier, Morocco.

For the tournament, only the Nigerian players who play their club football in the NPFL are eligible.

The Super Eagles were the better side throughout and with more than 60% of the possession should have secured the win.

The team hit the bar twice in the first half and twice saw chances stopped on the line in the second half.

Salisu Yusuf's side are now second on the log behind Libya who have three points following their win over Equatorial Guinea.

The Eagles face Libya in their next match on Friday, January 19. Kick off at 5.30pm.

Below is the live update of the game which kicked off at 8.30pm (Nigerian time).
