The Ligue 1 showdown between Paris Saint-German and Nantes saw referee Tony Chapron kick and send off Diego Carlos after the defender accidentally tripped him.

However the biggest talking point of the game had nothing to do with the highly-paid superstars on the field.

In the 90th minute as PSG went on a counter-attack, defender Diego Carlos accidentally tripped ref Tony Chapron.

The referee and player stumbled to the floor following the collision and in a what was a moment of madness, the referee lashed out at the player and then proceeded to send him off.

The incident was unprofessional and obviously uncalled for and it is yet to be seen if the French Football Federation will punish the official.
