- Alex Iwobi was recently caught on video at 3am partying hours before FA Cup loss to Forest
- Gunners legend Ian Wright has slammed Arsene Wenger for playing Iwobi
- He believes the Arsenal boss should have taken a firmer stance on the player
Arsenal Legend Ian Wright has questioned Arsene Wenger's decision to play Super Eagles' midfielder Alex Iwobi after he was caught partying.
Alex Iwobi was caught partying 48 hours before Arsenal's defeat to Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup partying and it has been widely reported in the English media.
“For a youngster to do that says to me that there is something wrong in the dressing room,” Wright said on Sky Sports.
“You can’t have a youngster feeling like he can do that and still play. Arsene Wenger should have had a stronger stance on this one."
“People laugh at Arsenal and see them as a bit of a joke at the moment. People don’t want to be there, and it feels like everything is losing control at Arsenal.”
However, Wenger has backed his decision to play the 21-year-old, saying: "It's one thing to punish somebody individually and a second thing to punish everybody.
"If I think he can help the team to win it's nothing to do with the fact he can be punished separately and individually."
Alex Iwobi found himself in hot water after a video emerged of him dancing and screaming at a flat in Soho, allegedly filmed at 2.37am the day before the FA Cup third-round tie.

Iwobi was surprisingly included in the starting line up to start at Chelsea in the League Cup on Wednesday, January 10.
And a furious Wright claimed that these decisions send the wrong message to players and only serves to make the club a 'joke'.
