European football governing body UEFA have unveiled the 2017 team of the year on Thursday January 11.

The team was released in a classic 4-4-2 formation.

At the goalkeeping position is legendary goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, Real Madrid skillful fullback Marcelo occupies the leftback position in the list, Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos is at the center back and he is accompanied by Juventus legendary defender Giorgio Chiellini, Paris Saint-Germain defender Dani Alves sits at the right fullback position in the list.

Manchester City star performer Kevin de Bruyne control the team from the midfield - and he accompanied by Chelsea's Eden Hazard and Real Madrid duo of Luca Modric and Toni Kroos.

At attack is the usual suspects of Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona's Lionel Messi.

Cristiano Ronaldo before now have won the FIFA 'The Best' award and also the Ballon d' or award respectively with Lionel Messi coming second in both awards.
