- The Belgian has let slip that City players expect the Chilean to join
- Sanchez's contract at Arsenal expires in July and he could leave for free
Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has revealed that Manchester City players expect Alexis Sanchez to join the club from Arsenal.
Pep Guardiola wants to sign his former Barcelona star and City have renewed their interest after nearly signing him for £60million on deadline day in the summer.
The player's contract at Arsenal expires in July and it is understood he wants to join City.
The Belgium playmaker also claims the Chilean would be a great addition to their star-studded attack.
“He’s a very good player,” said de Bruyne. “When he comes, he will add something to the team.
“Obviously we will see what happens in this transfer period. We don’t have to take care about that anyway.
“If a good player comes to us that is better, if he doesn’t come, we do it with the team we have. We are in a good period already, over the whole season. Everybody is doing a good job.”
It has already been reported that Manchester City have reached an agreement to bring the unsettled Chilean to the Etihad.
He has reportedly agreed a contract with Manchester City worth £13m-a-year.
He has 2 options; sign in January, Arsenal get £20m and he gets a £15m signing bonus or sign for free in July and get a £30m signing bonus.
