Goals from Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez helped Barcelona to a 2 - 0 away win over Villarreal in both side's match day fifteen Spanish La LIga clash.

Messi would double that lead in the 83rd minute with a simple finish as Villareal crumbed under pressure.

That goal would mean Messi equalled Gerd Müller as the top scorer in Europe's major league with one club after his 525 effort for the Catalans.

Barcelona are still top of the La Liga table with 39 points after 15 games, five ahead of Valencia, six ahead of Atletico Madrid and eight ahead of Barcelona.
