Meet Fulham tattoo centre owner Scott Maclaren who inks Premier League stars

Footballers just love getting tattoos, and one London tattoo shop located in Fulham and owned by Scott Maclaren can boast some of the most exclusive customers in the game.

The Chelsea fan runs a studio minutes away from Stamford Bridge and has worked on Jose Mourinho, Eden Hazard, Morgan Schneiderlin, Nathaniel Clyne, former Chelsea star Felipe Luis and many others.

The Fulham tattoo spot became a huge deal from the late 90s when the the Beckhams dropped by which attracted a lot of paparazzi.

Former Chelsea stars Jody Morris and Eddie Newton became regulars, and by word of mouth it became the go-to spot for Chelsea’s finest.

The 30-year-old Scott, revealed he was visited by Mourinho during his second spell in charge of Chelsea and was asked to ink the nicknames of his wife Matilde Faria and children Matilde and Jose Mario Jr. on his left wrist.

Scott revealed one of his who works as a grounds man at Chelsea helped him book Mourinho.

The inker said: “Over the years we’ve built up a good relationship with Chelsea.

“We’ve been lucky to have tattooed Hazard, Mourinho, Filipe Luis, Gael Kakuta, Eddie Newton and Jody Morris.

“Before that, and what put this shop on the map, we had the Beckhams come in. A picture of the shop was taken and it just blew up.

“Nathaniel Clyne also comes in a lot, even though he’s at Liverpool now, and we’ve done his arms and worked on his chest."

Scott says footballers keep flocking in because they trust he would not expose them and thus they feel safe.

Former Southampton midfielder Schneiderlin took a cab from the south coast to London to visit the shop and he then made sure the cab waited six hours until he was finished.

He waited six hours at the reception and another four for his tattoo to be complete while the cab was still waiting.

Scott who spoke to the Sun, revealed that 10-years ago, he took over the business from his dad Terry and uncle Gary, who first opened the doors to the parlour in 1976.
