Captain of the Super Eagles of Nigeria John Obi Mikel has confirmed his teammates' readiness ahead of the crucial 2018 World Cup qualifier against Zambia.
Nigeria will face former African champions Zambia in Uyo on Saturday, October 7, and a victory for the Super Eagles will give them the ticket to represent Africa at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Mikel, a father of twins who has a Russian girlfriend Olga explained that all the Super Eagles' players know the importance of their game against Zambia on Saturday in Uyo.
“We know how important the match is, and that is enough motivation to go all out and give our very best. There are several players in this team who have not played at the FIFA World Cup.
''They want to be there in Russia next year and the talking will be done on the pitch. I have no doubt we have the quality to achieve victory, but we will not make the mistake of under–rating the Zambians.” the Tianjin Teda player explained.
