Antonio Conte has cast doubts over his Chelsea future by admitting he will not stay abroad for too long.

The Blues gaffer extended his Blues deal until 2019 after revealing plans to move wife Elisabetta and daughter Vittoria to England.

Italian giants Inter Milan chased his signature this summer and remain keen on snapping him up.

And Conte hinted a move to the San Siro could be next for him, telling Radio Anch’io Sport: “I have a longing for Italy, that’s beyond any doubt.

“It’s not in my head to stay abroad for too long. It’s good to have beautiful experiences, but I intend to go back to Italy one day.

He added: “China? No, absolutely not. Bundesliga? It’s always difficult to predict the future. Let’s just say that a coach is a temporary worker.

“It depends on the results, but there’s desire on my part to try to do the best I can, finishing one project and then finding the right one to continue. I miss Italy, that’s a fact.

“Still, this experience is helping me so much. I’d also like to become a sporting director in the future.”

The 48-year-old led Juventus to three successive Serie A titles during his time in Turin and took Italy to the quarter-finals of Euro 2016, where they were beaten by Germany on penalties.

He also masterminded a 2-1 win over Roy Hodgson's England at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The Blues boss aimed a jibe at English managers, saying: "Are we better than the English? There are practically no English managers in the Premier League.

"There are so many parts of the world here, but everyone here is good, prepared and among the best in the world."

Conte will hope to mastermind an away victory when his side face Atletico Madrid in matchday two of the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday September 25 at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano.
