- The Dutch was thrown out at Crystal Palace after 4 games
- Mourinho said he is not surprised by the decision of the club
Manchester United gaffer Jose Mourinho has reacted to the dismissal of Frank de Boer at Premier League club Crystal Palace just after four games in charge.
The Dutch tactician however becomes the first coach that will be shown the exit doors this season in the Premier League, and Mourinho said he is not surprised.
Mourinho who has handled Porto and Real Madrid stated emphatically that nothing in football surprises him anymore after he was given the axe at Premier League champions Chelsea.
“I was sacked by Chelsea as a champion, former Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri was sacked as a champion.
“Frank de Boer is sacked after four matches and next season something incredible again, so nothing surprises me. That’s the world where we are.
“That’s the world where many of you enjoy and also contribute to the kind of pressure that managers are involved in. But in football nothing surprises me.” he explained.
De Boer's reign at Selhurst Park is the shortest ever after it was revealed chairman Steve Parish had lost confidence in the Ajax legend after just four matches.
