More details from Cristiano Ronaldo's hearing in court on Monday, July 31 has been revealed.

According to reports, the Real Madrid star told a Spanish court that he wants to leave Spain for a return to England.

The Portuguese is currently in court over a case over tax fraud brought to him by Spanish authorities.

Cristiano Ronaldo told the judge he wants to return to England.

He told a judge that he does not understand why he is in court for tax evasion and explained he never had any problems with his finances while playing for United.

The 32-year-old reportedly said: said: "In England, I never had these problems, that's why I want to go back there.

"I always paid my taxes, always. In England and In Spain. And I always paid. As you know, I can not hide anything, it would be ridiculous on my part to do such a thing.

"I am an open book. you don't need to do anything but type my name into Google and everything about Cristiano comes out.

"For example, Forbes magazine releases all of my earnings."

The player further went on to say he only listen's to the counsel of his adviser over how his money is handled as he does not have enough schooling.

"I paid everything in 2014," Ronaldo added. "I don't understand anything about this, I only went to school until my sixth year and the only thing I know how to do is play football well.

"When my advisors tell me, 'Cris, it's okay' then I believe them."

It is believed that Cristiano has become disillusioned by claims he had defrauded authorities of €14.7million and he was open to a return to Manchester United.
