Premier League champions Chelsea have emerged as top favorites to sign Everton attacking midfielder Rose Barkley in the ongoing summer transfer.
After selling Serbian star Nemanja Matic to rivals Manchester United, Chelsea gaffer Antonio Conte has identified Englishman Barkley as a good midfielder that can replace Matic at Stamford Bridge.
NAIJ.com understands that Everton have demanded whopping sum of £50 million as their asking price for Barkley, and Antonio Conte is said to be ready to meet the demand.
But the Blues will have to face serious competition from their bitter rivals Tottenham who are also interested in luring the 23-year-old player to White Hart Lane.
Barkley is hoping to force a move away from Goodison Park this summer after snubbing a new deal at the club.
