Arsenal are set to battle fierce rivals Chelsea in a very intriguing Community Shield encounter on Sunday, August 6, 2017.
Both teams are not new to each other as they have met on several occasions including the 2015 Community Shield final when the Gunners defeated the Blues 1-0.
Although both teams met in a pre-season friendly recently, the last time they faced each other in a competitive game was the FA Cup final in May 2017, when Arsenal beat Chelsea 2-1 at Wembley stadium.
NAIJ.com takes a look at the 4 reasons why Arsenal will edge rivals Chelsea in their forthcoming Community Shield encounter.
1. More Community shield wins:
Arsenal can boast of 14 Community Shield victories including their win over London rivals Chelsea in 2015. On the other hand, the Blues have just 4 Community Shield titles to their name.

Both London clubs have met previously 190 times in all competitions. The Gunners have won 74, drawn 54 and lost 62 of those encounters.
3. Involvement of new signings
Arsenal completed the signing of Alexandre Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac before their pre-season tour of Asia and Arsene Wenger was able to integrate his new signings into the team well enough. On the other hand, Chelsea left their summer signings a little bit late as some of their new signings did not take part fully in the club's pre-season tour.
4. Managerial experience
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has a huge wealth of experience in Community Shield games as he has won the prestigious title 5 times while Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is yet to make his first Community Shield appearance.
