German superstar Mesut Ozil has finally given Arsenal fans some cheering news as the former Real Madrid midfielder wants to stay at the Emirates Stadium next season.
There have been many talks that Ozil is considering leaving the Gunners after the North London club failed to secure Champions League ticket last season.
The 28-year-old has now explained that he will discuss his future with the club's chiefs after a pre-season tour of Australia and China.
''I have always said that I feel good at Arsenal, and it is definitely my preference to stay at the club next season.
''For now, the most important thing is our pre-season tour, and we will discuss after all our games, but I want to stay at the Emirates,'' Ozil said.
Arsenal will face Sydney FC on Thursday, July 13, 2017 in their first pre-season duel. The Gunners will also meet Bayern Munich and Chelsea in their pre-season games.
