- Former Liverpool superstar Djibril Cisse has come out of retirement to join Swiss third division side Yverdon Sport

- The 35-year-old officially hung his boots in February 2017 to pursue his career as a DJ and music producer

- Cisse has played for quite a number of top European clubs including Liverpool, Marseille, Sunderland, QPR and Lazio

Former Liverpool superstar Djibril Cisse has come out of retirement to join Swiss third division side Yverdon Sport on a short-term deal.

Legit.ng understands that the French star have not played football since his short time at Saint-Pierroise in 2015.

The 35-year-old officially hung his boots in February 2017 to pursue his DJ and music producing career.

The former Marseille man posted on his twitter account in French: "Thank you for your messages of support that makes me happy and makes me want to have a great season with @yverdonsport."

Yverdon Sport have been looking to bolster their squad following their promotion to 1. Liga – the third tier of Swiss football – last season.
