- Eden Hazard has become a part owner of a team in the second tier North American Soccer League

- The Belgians owns the club with other footballers like Demba Ba, Yohan Cabaye and Moussa Sow

- The unnamed American club will make its league debut in the spring of 2018

Eden Hazard has teamed up with other footballers to become the part owner of a club in the second tier North American Soccer League.

He joins former Chelsea team-mate Didier Drogba in becoming part owner of a new football club in the United States.

Demba Ba, Yohan Cabaye and Moussa Sow - as well as local investors - came together to launch a team in San Diego, California.

The unnamed club will make its league debut in the spring of 2018 in the second tier North American Soccer League.

"San Diego is a beautiful place and the love and passion the people have for soccer made this an easy choice for us," Hazard said.

"My friends and I are honored to turn this dream into a reality and we can't wait to get started and win some games."

Drogba recently became football's first player-owner when he joined Phoenix Rising, who play in the rival second tier United Soccer League.
