The FC Ifeanyi Ubah no.1 shot stopper in an exclusive interview with NAIJ.com stated that the national team will bounce back from the 2-0 loss to South Africa at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, on June 10.
“There are five games left to play in the AFCON qualifiers and we still have a lot to do. It is sad that we lost, but I am optimistic we will bounce back in subsequent games," he started.
"It is not over and I am sure with determination and dedication, we will qualify.
The 28-year-old who is currently having a decent season with 11 clean sheets in the NPFL for the Anambra Warriors expressed delight playing for the national team, although he was on the bench in Nigeria’s game against the Bafana Bafana, Ezenwa vowed to do his best if given the opportunity to start against Cameroon.
“It is a thing of joy to represent my country as this is a dream of every player. For that double-header against Cameroon, I know it’s going to be a big game, but if given the opportunity to start, I will do my very best for the country," Ezenwa added.
