- Super Eagles of Nigeria will play South Africa on Saturday, June 10, 2017
- Arsenal's Alex Iwobi and father were spotted together at the team's camp in Uyo
- Nigeria were unable to qualify for last edition of the Nations Cup
There seems to be a very serious bond between Super Eagles and Arsenal youngster Alex Iwobi and his father Chuka.
Dad of the 20-year-old player who is obviously a staunch fan and supporter of his son was currently around the Nigerian national team in Uyo to cheer his son and team mates to victory against South Africa.
NAIJ.com can authoritatively report that other players in the Nigerian national team also acknowledged Iwobi senior as some continued to call him dad.
Eagles coach Gernor Rohr and Mr. Iwobi were also seen making some forms of discussion as the team head for training.
The Super Eagles play the Bafana Bafana in an all-important AFCON 2019 qualifier at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on June 10.
Recall that the South Africans denied Nigeria from qualifying for the 2015 edition, thereby ensured Nigeria failed to defend the title which she won under the tutelage of late Stephen Keshi in 2013. The Eagles also failed to qualify for the 2017 edition.
