The 21-year-old was caught on camera kicking a man laying on the floor before other people also joined in kicking the man.
The Belgian has admitted regretting his action and he revealed he was defending a friend.
He said: "Of course I am sorry that I was involved in the fight. It wasn't even a conflict that concerned me."
