Manchester United's hope of finishing among the top four at the end of the ongoing Premier League season has suffered a serious set-back on Sunday, May 14, 2017 after losing 2-1 to Tottenham.

A win for the Red Devils in this encounter would have been of great advantage for Jose Mourinho as United would have kept the pressure of on Arsenal and Manchester City.

Kenyan international Victor Wanyama scored the first goal for Tottenham in the 6th minute after connecting well with a superb cross from Ben Davies.

Harry Kane netted the second goal for Tottenham in the 48th minute, but United reduced the scoreline in the 71st through Englishman Wayne Rooney.

Manchester United tried to leave White Hart Lane with a point, but Spurs went on to win the match 2-1.
