Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has explained that his decision to change to a 3-4-3 formation helped the Blues to win the Premier League title.
With two games to the end of the ongoing Premier League season, Chelsea have been crowned champions after beating West Brom in their match-day 36 encounter.
Back in September 2016, a 3-0 defeat away to Arsenal left Chelsea eight points off top spot and a title challenge appeared unlikely.
That was until Conte opted to change to a 3-4-3 formation, which led to Chelsea being able to overhaul their rivals, dropping only 13 points out of a possible 90.
‘That decision changed our season and I am happy to be a Premier League title winning coach.
‘'We had to change and find a new suit for our team.
‘In my mind there was this option to play a 3-4-3 because I knew I had the players to do that,'' the Italian tactician explained.
