Wilfred Ndidi compares himself to N'Golo Kante

- Wilfred Ndidi says he does not compare himself to Chelsea's N'Golo Kante

- Ndidi arrived in the January transfer window as a replacement for the Chelsea man

- Kante left the Foxes for Chelsea last summer after winning the Premier League

Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi does not think he is similar to N'Golo Kante claiming he is a different type of player.

The Super Eagles forward also said he is only focused on his own performances for his club side.

The 20-year-old made a £15 million move from Genk to Leicester in the January transfer window and he been generally seen as a replacement for Kante.

"I was never scared of coming here because I always believed if I got the help of team-mates and if I worked hard everything was possible," the 20-year-old told Leicester Mercury.

"Yes, I am different. I never compare myself to anybody.

"I really cannot define it [his difference to Kante] because I just play.

Kante recently won the PFA player of the year award for his performances for Chelsea this season

"I didn't watch many of the games from last season when they won the league, I just came to play and with the help of the coach trying to push me and make me understand how the team works I feel everything is working out well for us."

Kante left Leicester for Chelsea at the end of last season after helping the Foxes win the Premier League title.

NAIJ.com understands that Ndidi has been called up to the next Super Eagles squad.
