- Romelu Lukaku is the current highest goalscorer in the EPL with 24 goals for Everton
- The club have placed an unbelievable price-tag on the Belgian to wade-off suitors
- Everton manager Ronald Koeman has disclosed that Lukaku wants to leave the club
English Premier League side Everton FC have placed a world-record £100m price tag Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku.
NAIJ.com can confirm that the EPL leading scorer with 24 goals has indicated his willingness to leave the club and has refused to sign a new contract.
“He told me he won’t sign a new contract,” Everton manager Ronald Koeman was quoted by the Sun (UK).
However, the Toffees are keen in keeping the player at the Goodison Park, but will consider doing business with any interested club that meets their huge valuation for the 23-year-old.
Several top clubs in England have shown interest in the Belgian striker including Chelsea, but Abramovic’s men could not provide the £70m earlier demanded.
With more goals to his credit, Everton now believe Lukaku’s worth has increased to £100m, and hope to put off potential suitors ahead of the coming season.
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is the current world's most expensive footballer having joined the club for £89m.
The French star who left United for £1.5m in 2012, returned for a fee that surpasses Gareth Bale's £85m move to Real Madrid in 2013.
