The Brazilian left-back became the most successful player when his side defeated Monaco in the Coupe la Ligue finals over the weekend.
The PSG defender is now the most successful player in Europe with a mouthwatering 36 major honours which is two more than that of Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs and Barcelona legend Dani Alves who have both won 34.
He is now leading the next most successful footballer with two major honours.
Maxwell’s career started in Brazil with Cruzeiro when he won the Copa do Brasil in his first season in 2000.
He left the club a year after and signed for Ajax in 2001. He won the Eredivise twice, the Dutch Cup twice and the Johan Cruyff Shield twice before he left to Inter Milan on a free transfer in 2006.
The Brazilian moved to Inter Milan and won three league titles in a row and the Italian Super Cup twice. He left Inter Milan in 2009 and signed for Barcelona.
During his stay at Camp Nou, He won two La Liga titles and a Champions League title in his 2nd season in Spain. He also won three Spanish Super Cup, two UEFA Super Cup and two FIFA Club World Cup.
He then moved to PSG in 2012 and has won a total of 14 major titles for the club with his most recent honour which he achieved over the weekend as his side defeated Monaco 4-1 in the Coupe de la Ligue finals.
