An ever humble N'Golo Kante says there are a trio of current Chelsea players which deserve to scoop the Player of the Year award over himself who is favorite.
Many pundit and fans have called for the Frenchman to be named player of the year for his monstrous displays in midfield as the Blues march to the Premier League title.
Kante was influential as Leicester City won the League title last season and has continued to impressive in the league this season with Chelsea.
Speaking to Canal+ named a trio of current Chelsea players which deserve to scoop the Player of the Year award over himself.
The 25-year-old suggested: "There are quite a few players in the Premier League who deserve this award. There is [Eden] Hazard, Diego Costa and David Luiz in my team."
Hazard has managed to net 11 goals in 26 games for the current league leaders, chipping in with four assists, while leading man Costa tops the club's scoring charts with 17 goals of his own.
David Luiz has been one of the best defenders in the league since his return from Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the summer transfer window.
Kante missed out on being player of the year last season after being pipped to the feat by former teammate Riyad Mahrez.
The 25-year-old moved to Stamford Bridge from the King Power Stadium for £32m last summer.
