Manchester City star Kelechi Iheanacho has ruled out any possibility of him joining his Super Eagles' teammate Alex Iwobi at Premier League club Arsenal.
Alex Iwobi has stated that he would love to play with Kelechi Iheanacho at the Emirates stadium stressing that he could convince manager Arsene Wenger to sign him.
But despite Iheanacho's lack of active playing times this season at the Etihad stadium under manager Pep Guardiola, NAIJ.com learnt that the 20-year-old is happy at the club.
“I’m very happy and very grateful to be in this team. I keep working hard every day and when I get my chance I have to prove to everyone I need to be in the squad.
“It’s a great squad with great players. Everyone is working really hard, so everyone should be happy being in this team.
“The supporters give us everything so we need to keep fighting for the team and the fans.
“I am improving every day. I keep learning and improving and that will help me in the future. I love it here,” he said.
This season, the arrival of injured Brazilian star Gabriel Jesus to the Etihad stadium was of no help to the Nigerian international as Pep Guardiola preper him and Sergio Aguero to lead his attack.
