Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal says Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez will not commit their futures to Arsenal until Arsene Wenger signs a new contract at the club.
Sanchez and Ozil are Arsenal's two highest earners and most important players but their contracts expire in the summer of 2018 which means they could move to other clubs for minimal fees.
Monreal, a left-back at the club, says the current uncertainty around the trio "does not help" and results continue to suffer.
Wenger's contract expires this summer but the Frenchman already has a two-year-extension availiable to him.
"For Arsenal as a team and as a club, ideally everyone should continue", Monreal told Goal.com.
"But today these are the circumstances: the coach finishes his contract and has not yet communicated whether he continues or not, then there are two important players like Alexis and Mesut who finish their contracts next season and they are waiting for the coach to follow.
"It is a situation of uncertainty, and that does not help. But it is not in our hands either."
NAIJ.com understands that Wenger intends to sign the two-year-deal he has been offered by the board.
Wenger and Sanchez were recently involved in a training ground bust-up which led to the attacker benched for the 3 - 1 loss at Liverpool.
The Chilean how however been ever-present for the Gunners since the defeat.
The #WengerOut Brigade is gaining momentum at this moment and if signs a new deal at the club, it would increase the discontent among the fan base.
