- The Super Eagles and the Teranga Lions will clash in a friendly game
- Mane who plays for Liverpool said Senegal are better than Nigeria
Liverpool and Senegalese star striker Sadio Mane has vowed that the Teranga Lions will beat the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the much anticipated friendly game between the two African sides in London on Thursday, March 23, 2017.
Sadio Mane is majorly concerned with the facts that the Senegalese senior national team have not beaten the Super Eagles in the last four years, and he is positive the Lions will clip the Eagles wings in London.
He also said that his side's current form cannot be compared with that of the Super Eagles who were unable to make it to the last two editions of the African Cup of Nations.
''Senegal is the best, and Nigeria is not the best anymore and we are going to beat them in the friendly game,'' Mane was quoted to have said by Vanguard.
Meanwhile, both teams will use this friendly duel as preparations for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers as well as the 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
