- Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has said his future at the club has nothing to do with Wenger's decision
- The German midfielder explained that he is happy at the Emirates stadium
- Reports suggests that the former Real Madrid man could leave should Wenger decide to quit at the end of the season
German international football star Mesut Ozil has stated that his future at the Emirates stadium has nothing to do with whether troubled Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger stays at the club or not.
There have been lots of reports that the former Real Madrid star whose contract will expire at the end of next season will quit should Wenger leave his position at the end of the ongoing Premier League season.
Ozil, 28, is however yet to give a definitive answer on his Arsenal future but insists it does not depend on Arsene Wenger’s decision.
“There were talks with the people in charge of Arsenal, but I am currently concentrating on the current season, just like the leaders of Arsenal.
“I’ve always said I feel happy at Arsenal: the club, the fans, the city – it’s all here.
“Arsene Wenger was one of the main reasons why I came to Arsenal but it would be wrong to say that my future depends only on the trainer,'' he explained.
