Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been issued a three-match suspension after admitting an FA charge of violent conduct and accepted the standard penalty.
The Swede was adjudged to have purposely hit Tyrone Mings in the face in the 44th minute of the game between Manchester United and AFC Bournemouth on Saturday, March,4, 2017).
The FA is yet to announce the punishment for Mings, but it is believed his will be higher for a stamp on the 26-goal striker.
The misconduct was not seen by the match officials at the time but caught on camera.
The match ended 1 - 1 with Josh King grabbing the goal for Bournemouth while United's goal was scored by Marcos Rojo.
Ibrahimovic also missed a penalty in the match which sees United still in 6th position.
The striker will now miss the FA Cup tie at Chelsea, followed by the Premier League matches against Middlesbrough and West Brom.
He will return in the home game with Everton on April 4, but remains eligible for the Reds' Europa League clashes with FC Rostov.
Ibrahimovic has missed only one league game all season, the draw with Arsenal in November, 2016.
