The 38-year-old who won every major club honor at Stamford Bridge with the Blues enjoyed his first day of retirement as he and his family got together for the birthday of his wife.

Lampard who had also played for West Ham United and Manchester City posted an image of his wife and one of his daughters with the caption: 'The benefits of retirement! Times with my 3 girls. Happy birthday to my beautiful wife.'
He also expressed sincere appreciation to his family and all the players he played with during his remarkable football career.
