Kahraba struck in the 88th minute to ensure his side cruise to the last four of the tournament as they defeated AFCON returnee Morocco in a highly tension soaked fixture.

The explosive encounter saw the best of Mohamed Salah but he somehow could not just find the back of the net.

Like what they are known for, both North African teams played with power and pace down the flanks creating respective chances but their defense stood firm with the game heading into extra time.

Barely two minutes to the end of the game, Mahmoud Kahraba managed to tap-in the scrambled ball into the net from close range to put his side in contention for the coveted trophy. It ended, Egypt 1 - 0 Morocco.

The pharaohs will now face Burkina Faso in the first semi-final of the tournament on Wednesday, February 1.
