The Pharaohs of Egypt and the Black Stars of Ghana have both qualified for the knockout stage of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.

The North Africans defeated the West Africans in their last group game, but both still qualify.

Egypt top the group with 7 points with two wins and a draw while Ghana took the second slot with 6 points having won two games.

The other teams to miss out from Group D are Mali and Uganda.

Mali and Uganda join Ivory Coast, Togo, Algeria, Guinea-Bissau, Gabon and Zimbabwe in exiting the tournament while Ghana and Egypt go through alongside Morocco, DR Congo, Tunisia, Senegal, Burkina Faso and Cameroon.
