Ghana have won their AFCON 2017 opening group game against Uganda thanks to a penalty from Andre Ayew.
The Black Stars dominated the first half, but lost all of their momentum in the second.
Uganda had numerous chances to win it in the second half but some errant long shots and crossing failed them after the break in which they improved.

Ayew scored the winning goal in the 31st miunute from the penalty spot after isinde who was disposed of possession by Gyan felled the striker.
That was how the match ended as Ghana (one of the tournament favorites) picked up three points.
The other teams in Group D are Mali and Egypt.
