A player of the club who would not want his name on print revealed to NAIJ.com on Monday, January 16, 2017 that the club's management have vowed to punish the players and also the technical crew for the defeat.

''We want to tender an apology to our fans and also to the management who are not currently happy with how we lost our first game of the season at home.

''I can not tell you the type of punishment they want to give us because I am not part of the management, but a strong member of the club has vowed that we will be punished unless we get back the three points in our next away game,'' the player explained to NAIJ.com

Enugu Rangers will have a trip to Lafia where they will face Nasarawa United in their second game of the season on Wednesday, January, 18, 2017.
