Carlos Tevez has become the world's highest paid player after joining Shanghai Shenhua.

The Argentine striker Tevez, 32, will pocket around £615,000 a week on a two-year deal, while former club Boca Juniors will receive a fee of around £14million.

According to the Mirror UK, it cost £77million to bring the former Manchester United striker from Boca Juniors.

The former Manchester City and Juventus striker penned a two-year deal worth £31.5million-a-year with the Chinese Super League club.
